Congratulations to Katie Handler, James He, and Julia Nadelmann for becoming 2017 Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS) Semifinalists (formerly Intel STS)!
The Regeneron STS is the nation's most prestigious pre-college science competition. Alumni of STS have made extraordinary contributions to science and hold more than 100 of the world's most coveted science and math honors, including the Nobel Prize and National Medal of Science. Annually, students entering the Regeneron STS compete for more than $3.1 million in awards. Only 300 students are announced as scholars each year whereby 2017 scholars hail from 182 high schools in 36 states and three American and international high schools overseas.
On Jan. 24, 40 of the top 300 scholars will be named Regeneron Science Talent Search finalists. Finalists receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. from March 9-15, where they will compete for awards provided by Regeneron, including the top award of $250,000.
Best of luck to Katie, James, and Julia during the final round of judging!
